Fall 2018 Edition


For its Fall 2018 edition of Encounters Magazine, the creative team set out to capture six of our features through an editorial photoshoot and interviews. Meet the Fall 2018 creators below and check out their passion and creative process through their interviews.


EVAN GORDON, “TRAFTON”

New Hampshire-born Evan Gordon, who goes by the stage name Trafton, is an artist, songwriter and producer whose lyrically driven work occupies a somber space within the realm of pop music. He recently released a single during summer ’18 and plans to release his first full-length album in spring ‘19.


KENNY FREMER

Kenny writes with the intention of connecting to and uplifting others. His poetry is often used as a cathartic tool and closely examines his own personal life.


MITCHELL KIM

Mitchell is a photographer and film enthusiast. He wields both digital and analog film photography to uncover street compositions and draws inspiration from otherwise ordinary scenes of New York City.


CAITLIN CACCIATORE

Caitlin is a poet whose work effortlessly displays a knowledge of form and allusion. She is a visionary who sees beauty in the simple and the complex.


SARAH MISKIN

Sarah is a photographer and creative experimenter. Her work is driven by the electrifying energy and unique experience of her NYC upbringing.


JOSHUA CASTILLO, “CAST

Joshua is an all-things-creative person who works under the identity Cast. He has a deep-seated hunger for truth, producing music and visuals that exemplify his stories.
