Submissions

Encounters Magazine is currently not accepting submissions for the 2023-24 school year.

If you would like to submit your artwork and written pieces to be published in the 2024-25 edition, email your work to submitencounters@gmail.com. All submissions must be clearly titled and attributed.

Please note only enrolled Baruch students can submit.

Writing Deadline: January 31st, 2025

Submissions that are considered for writing are typically creative in nature and include, but are not limited to: prose, poetry, plays, short stories, etc. Please submit writing in .doc or .docx form — .pdfs will not be accepted.

Art Deadline: January 31st, 2025

Submissions that are considered for art include, but are not limited to, photography, visual arts, high-quality photography of 3-D mediums, graphic design, etc. Please submit all art pieces in 300 dpi.

Feature Deadline: January 31st, 2025

Submissions that are considered for features typically demonstrate high intentionality, creativity and demonstrable skill. Both writing and art submissions are considered for features. Criteria still applies depending on medium.
